Jordan

Jordan is 3 years old!
Here are his stats from his check up:
Weight 36 lbs 8 oz 90th percentile
Length 38.25 inches 75 percentile
Body Mass Index: 17.5 kg/m2

Jordan really got into swimming in the pool this summer. This green floater gave him so much confidence to go for it and swim around without Mom and Dad. It is so awesome to see his confidence grow. He likes being a shark and going after any unsuspecting swimmers... mostly Mom and Dad.

Jordan also enjoys being a knight and fighting dragons, he also likes being Peter Pan and fighting Captain Hook. Most recently he has gotten into Buzz Lightyear and loves to go "To infinity and beyond!" Jordan also likes airplanes, rockets, and basically anything that can fly.

Favorite foods: Alfredo noodles, jam sandwiches (no peanut butter because that's yucky), most fruit, crazy bread (the pizza that the crazy bread comes with is ok), frosting, marshmallows, apple juice, and really any kind of liquid he can drink besides water.

Potty Training: Jordan was a potty training CHAMPION! I am soooo glad we waited until he was three to start. He had a few accidents to start, but after about two weeks it was pretty much routine. He would get a BIG marshmallow after going potty and that was enough motivation for him.

We talked about potty time a lot before trying. Telling him about how big boys wear underwear. They listen to their bodies, stop what there doing, and go potty. He also really liked getting Buzz Lightyear underwear. That was the coolest thing ever for him. So between marshmallows, Buzz underwear, being old enough to understand what his body was feeling, it went far better then we could have planned. Way to go Jordan! Lets hope all our kids do this well.

Here are some funny things Jordan says... at least the ones I can remember... it's hard to keep up:

J Man: "I don't like Emperor Zurg... if I am friends with him he will tie me up."

J Man: "I am Spider Man!" Me: "Who told you about Spider Man?" J Man: "Um, Heavenly Father."

J Man: "I love you Mommy because I love you."

J Man: "I am Spider Man... I have wonders... and numb chucks."

"To infinity and beyond!"

Natalie 9 Months

Natalie is nine months old.
Here are her stats from her check up:
Length 27.5 in. 50th percentile
Head Circumference 46.5 cm 97th percentile
Weight 19 lbs. 10 oz. 75% percentile

I feel like Natalie is so much older than last month. It's like she is emerging from baby and getting so much closer to toddler. I assume this is partly because she watches her big brother and sees all of the cool things he is doing. She constantly wants to move, reach, grab, and babble. She is at the stage of frustration, wanting to do so much more but hasn't figured out how to yet. Let's just say I hope she figures it out sooner than later. She is still a really sweet and happy baby otherwise.

Natalie drinks out of her own drink; I was tired of her grabbing my Camelbak to drink out of... to much drool. She reaches out for things so far that she almost gets into the crawling position, but when she falls onto her tummy she gets upset. She absolutely loves it when we hold her hands to help her walk around the house. We are not sure if she will crawl or if she'll just go straight to walking. Also she will not eat pureed food anymore. She still doesn't have any teeth, so we get creative in finding lots of soft food for her to eat.

Here is our little lady in her 4th of July outfit. She made this adorable face and I was lucky enough to catch it on camera. Melts my heart every time I see it. What a sweet heart.

Washington Trip June 2013 (part 3)

Strawberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla.
Friends Always! We were all able to get together for an evening. It is so rare for the three of us to be in the same state at the same time. We had a wonderful get together with our families. It was awesome to get together. I love these ladies!

We had dinner together at the Webb homestead.

Here is Preston and Jason chatting while holding the wiggly kiddos.

Mark gave Michelle a push on the big swing. It was fun as kids and it's still fun now. Good times all around.

Having fun hanging out in the yard. We had a great time seeing everyone and hope it won't be too long until another get together. Thanks everyone for making the time to get together.

As always, while in Washington we have to make our Illahee visit.

Here are some breath taking pictures of the Great Northwest.

Playing around in the yard. We had fun playing bad mitten, bocce ball, swinging, exploring in the woods, and of course Jordan needed his annual wheel barrel ride.

Once of the things I wanted to do while home was to climb the hug cedar tree in the back yard. I didn't get to do this last year (being prego and all). So I took advantage of the opportunity this year. Preston, Charlie, and Melissa decided it sounded like fun as well. So up we all went.

Here is Charlie and Melissa. Melissa was a good sport and tried a bunch of Webb activities while visiting Bremerton. She was very brave to climb the cedar tree up about 100 feet or so. Way to go!

Here is a picture I took from pretty close to the top of the tree. A view of the Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains, and trees. The weather was perfect for enjoying the great outdoors. I hung out in the tree for a while just soaking it all in.

Charlie, Melissa, and Hillary.

We went to Poulsbo and enjoyed the sits and sounds; not to mention the...

bakery! Yummmmm...

A Murray family photo that Uncle Charlie couldn't help but be a part of. Silly guy.

Pretty.

As always we had a wonderful visit in Washington. Thanks Mom for always being so welcoming and loving.

Washington Trip June 2013 (part 2)

Have I ever mentioned that "I LOVE TREES?!" The taller and bigger the better.

Here is a fun picture of Grandma Suzie and little Natalie. So sweet.

While we were in Washington and Preston was in Arizona he decided it would be fun to see how thick of a beard he could grow. Here he is after not shaving for 3 weeks. It was a lot more read than I thought it would be. Here he is with his beard, goatee, and mustache.

Preston asked me what I thought of the facial hair: With the beard I said, "You look like Jared (Preston's Bro), with the goatee you look like Bryce (Preston's Bro), with the mustache you look like Russell (Preston's Dad)." Then he shaved it all off and I said, "Now you look like you."

We had fun one afternoon at Lions Field Park.

Living on the edge of the woods gives the fun opportunity to see some wildlife. "Hi Bambi." Watch out for my hubby, he's a hunter.

Here's Jordan being a good big brother and pushing Natalie in the stroller. They are peaking at each other through a section in the stroller. So cute.

Preston and Jordan had fun playing with the old go-cart while in Bremerton. Preston even got it running. He's got big plans in the future to fix it up sometime. Boys and their toys. Jordan called the go-cart his car.

We went to the golfing range with Bart, Gayleen, and Mom. Here is Jordan practicing his swing. He also found some baseball gear. He was feeling pretty cool.

Later we moved on to doing some miniature golf. It was interesting for me to try and swing with one hand, since Natalie was in the front pack. But I actually ended up dong ok at it. Natalie loved holding onto the golf club and wouldn't let go for me to swing until someone else let her hold theirs. Preston chased Jordan around the miniature golf course most of the time. Always an adventure.

We got to have a nice visit the Peterson's. We love to see them whenever we can. Jordan and Preston got to go on a tractor ride with Bishop Peterson. In the picture you can see that he even got to steer the tractor around. Jordan was the happiest kid in the world.

Mom, Bart, Gayleen, and the fam went to a fun park in Port Orchard. It has a bunch of spinny toys that were great to try out, but we could only spin for so long.

We were able to go kayaking down by the Tracyton boat ramp. Jordan can never say he hasn't been kayaking. He sat with me in my kayak and he, Preston, and I paddled around for a while. I was nervous Jordan would flip up over. I kept telling him to not touch the water because it was cold. He did a great job and we came out dry. I really enjoy kayaking, especially in the Puget Sound.

We had a fun 4th of July with the Brown's (Gayleen's parents). They were so fun to get to know! Her we are getting dinner ready. It was delicious with hot dogs, hamburgers, frys, watermelon, jello, and I'm sure I'm leaving some other traditional American food out... oh ya, smores.

Here we are roasting some smores outside. Jordan tried one, but ended up just wanting the marshmallow and chocolate... figures.

The 4th of July isn't complete without fireworks. Jordan actually enjoyed fireworks this year. He especially liked the bee fireworks that shot up into the sky. We had a very Happy 4th of July!

Washington Trip June 2013 (part 1)

Jordan, Natalie, and I were lucky enough to be able to spend a month in Washington this summer. Preston was a wonderful husband to let us go for so long and my Mom was so wonderful to have us that whole time. We had many fun times while there... enjoy the many many photos.

We went to the water park down by the ferry dock with my good friend Kira and her family. Jordan and David (Kira's son) had fun playing together in the water.

Kira brought her kiddos over to the Webb homestead for some fun on the big swing. All the kids loved it!

Mom had so many strawberries in her garden that we had to do something with them... so of coarse as Webb's do, we made a pie. It was delicious! We also made another one for our good friends the Peterson's to enjoy. Yummmm...

Jordan, Natalie, and I made some finger paint art to send to Daddy for Father's Day. It was a success! Thank you Pinterest.

We went to Illahee State Park (a Webb favorite).

Jordan loved the teeter totter even more this year than last year. He's getting to be such a big kid.

Had to share this one. Jordan grabbed the camera and took this picture of himself. I still laugh every time I see it. Nice view up the nose.

Here is Natalie and Jordan having some fun on the big swing out back. So adorable.

We had a huge rain storm come through that was quickly flooding the downstairs garage. I grabbed Mom's boots, a rain jacket, and shovel. I dug a big trench to divert the water away from the garage. This may sound odd, but I actually loved this experience. I got to get soaked, use my muscles, and most importantly help my Mum. It was really fun!
