WA Trip (part 2)

Here's a beautiful picture of my favorite place... where I grew up. This is the yard that has hundreds of fun times spent in it. It was so wonderful to be home.

My Dad made this hug swing when my siblings and I were kids. It spans between two 100+ foot trees with a cable, comes down with another cable to a cylinder metal piece to sit on, and there you have fun that lasts hours and hours. We connected a little seat to the swing, which my Dad also made when my siblings and I were little.

Jordan caught on quick and loved swinging for as long as possible. He would swing for an hour at a time easily. He liked to swing with a stick in his hand so that he could touch the ground as we went back and forth. This kid got some good Webb training, meaning learning to love heights. It makes me so proud. Here's a picture of us all taking turns pushing him on the swing.

We hung out with my good friend Kira and her family down by the ferry dock in Bremerton. There is a new water play area for kids. Jordan liked playing in the water with Kira's little boy David.

We took an unexpected trip to Lewiston, Idaho while visiting my Mom. We got to see my brother Zach and his family. They recently moved from North Carolina to Idaho. It was so fun to spend time with them. Here is Jordan trying to drive everything he possibly could. From a 4 wheeler with Dad, a horse, two Jeeps (one pink Jeep with his cousin Claire and one adult sized Jeep). Zach even took time to show Preston his sweet air soft gun.

My sister in law Amber has such welcoming parents. They did so much for us while we visited at their home. While there we went swimming in their pool. Jordan hadn't ever done anything other than wading in water and splash pads. He was a little shy at first but became brave like his cousins by the end of the evening. Here's Jordan and Preston having a good time in the pool.

My brother Zach and his boys Grant and Collin having a great time in the pool.

Here is Jordan jumping into the pool. My brother Zach was determined to make Jordan into a dare devil in one evening. I'd say he succeeded.

Fun pool time with cousins! Jordan had a blast with his cousins in the pool. He especially enjoyed jumping onto a flouting toy. Preston helped Jordan get me wet with a water gun, what a Dad. Both Preston and Zach where wise enough not to get my Mom wet... at least not much. Thanks for the fun times in Lewiston. We had a blast!

My Mom and my friend Kira were so nice to through me a Baby Shower while in Washington. It was so fun to see a bunch of the ladies that I have looked up to while growing up. I felt very loved and it made me so excited to meet my little Natalie.

The shower was held on the big deck outside. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to be among the trees for a party. What a fun time.

Here I am opening a gift. I must say I am very excited to put Natalie in all of the cute pink clothes. Girl baby clothes are a fun new experience for me.

We got to see Uncle J (aka) Big J who was in town for a navy reunion. He is such a hoot to be around! Mom, Jordan, and I went out to dinner with Big J and had a great time together.

Here is Jordan enjoying an ice cream cone at McDonalds. If you look closely at the pictures you can see how his face gets progressively more and more messy. He's just like his Dad, he loves ice cream!

WA Trip (part 1)

Preston, Jordan, and I had a wonderful visit to Washington this past month. Jordan and I stayed with Grandma Suzie for about a month. Preston came out for a week and then had to get back to work. We had such a great time! It was a much needed break from the desert. Thanks Mom for having us for so long. Here is a picture of the beautiful foxglove flowers at home.

We had a lot of fun playing in the yard while being there. Jordan became a quick fan of wheelbarrow rides and going swinging. He even helped his Dad with a project in the garden. What boy doesn't like to use a shovel and dig?

While visiting, we took the opportunity to go to old Poulsbo (a very cute town with Norwegian heritage) and bought some doughnuts from the bakery there. Jordan enjoyed seeing the boats and water, as well as his big cookie he got from the bakery.

Jordan had a blast playing with his buddy David (this is my best friend Kira's oldest son). He fallowed David around and tried doing the same things he did. They loved running around, hiding in corners, and basically getting each other really hipper.

One day Preston, Jordan, and I walked down to the Tracyton boat ramp. On our way we said hi to the horses that were along the way. Jordan loves horses! He had a great time giving them grass to eat and petting them. It was adorable to watch. We also explored the waterfront. Jordan had fun throwing rocks in the water.

This past 4th of July we bought some fireworks we thought Jordan would enjoy... like pops, sparklers, etc. Turns out the pops were scary, the sparklers burned his hand, and everything else was too loud. Ah well, there's always next year.

A family tradition I enjoy is making apple pies. I know how to and even have an apple peeler of my own. But it is so much more fun making apple pies with my mom that I always wait until I can make them with her. What a fun and delicious tradition.

When ever I go home I make sure to visit Illahee State Park. It's a gorgeous park that my family (The Webb's) have spent a lot of time at over the years. Jordan had a blast on the playground. He tried out the teeter totter, swings, and slide... with Mom and Dads help of course. Though I wasn't much help on the swings, I don't have a lot of lap space anymore. Good thing Dad was there help.
