Mom's Provo Visit

My wonderful Mom came to visit for two weeks here in Provo. The entire Provo Webb family had such a great time having her here. We kept super busy doing lots and lots of fun activities. Thanks so much for coming to visit Mum... next time we get together it'll be in B-Town! Here is a picture of us going to a day of Education Week together.

Checking out the duck pond on campus. Jordan is very good at saying "D" words like "DUCK!"

On BYU's campus they really spruced up a trail on the south side. We showed it to Mom and had some fun in the beautiful creek that fallows the trail. Hey, there was no sign saying we couldn't.

Myself, Preston, Mom, Cara, and Charlie went to a "Wish Upon A Star" Disney concert by Jenny Oaks Baker. She plays the violin with amazing skill and she is quit funny. It was a really nice evening.

Pool time! This was the last one of the summer. Jordan has had a blast playing at the pool. We'll just have to have our bath time water playing as the weather gets cooler.

The Georgia Webb's made it to Provo! In case you didn't know my oldest bro is going to be a visiting professor at BYU for a year. Lucky us... Ben and his oldest daughter Arryana getting out from the slide.

Little Avery was all tuckered out from the fun. He actually fell asleep on the chair like this. Ben had to carry him to the car.

Rebekah, Heath, Hazel, and Arryana taking a break from the water. We all had a great time at the pool. Thanks everyone for coming!

The next event was Preston's birthday! For his birthday he wanted to go on a bike ride with me. Isn't he a sweetie... We were all clipped in and everything. We went all the way up the canyon to Vivian Park. I am so happy to say I didn't tip over once! It was lots of fun... thanks Mom for babysitting Jordan so we could go on a ride!

Birthday cake time! All the nephews and nieces were so excited for Preston to blow out his candles. It looks like Arryana was trying to help blow from a far.

Happy 28th B-Day Preston!

Hanging out in the back yard with everyone. There was chatting, playing games, eating cake, and ice cream. What could be better?

We took Mom to here first BYU Women's Soccer game! It was BYU vs. Utah. They won 4 to 0. Go Gougars!

A Provo visit isn't complete without a hike up to the Y. Being a grandma of almost 8 isn't slower her down at all. Way to go Mom!

Everyone at the top of the Y.

Jordan maxing and relaxing in a swing in the backyard of Ben and Rebekah's new place.

Everyone playing in the backyard. It reminded be of back home in Washington when we'd do this growing up. All it needs is a trampoline.

Big yards are the best!

What's a visit without going out to eat?

I took this picture because I thought it was hilarious that Mom ordered a hug nacho dish. They placed it in front of her and she was like, "Woaw!"

Heath helping Uncle Charlie eat his chips.

Avery having Uncle Bart try on his hat.

Fun times. I love my family all so much! It is wonderful, unique, and special to have so many Webb's in Provo at one time.

Meeting cousin Clara

In the beginning of August we went up to Rexburg, Idaho to meet Jordan's first Murray cousin: Clara Kim Murray. Isn't she a cutie?

The proud new parents, Preston's brother Bryce and his wife Mikara. Congratulations!

The fam hanging out at Bryce and Mikara's.

Preston and I had a great time going on the BYU Idaho campus seeing what's new and reminiscing on what was the same from when we were here at school.

Preston and Jordan going for a walk. Preston and I meet each other here at BYU Idaho. This campus holds a special place in our hearts because of all of the growth, learning, and amazing experiences we had here. We love the "Y of I!"

It was a fun visit filled with new and old memories. The gospel is true, families are forever, and we are so blessed.

Century Bike Ride

On August 20th Preston completed a Century Bike Race. He came in at 6 hours and 10 minutes. The course began in Payson, headed up and over Mount Nebo (4600 feet of elevation gain) down into Nephi, through Mona, Goshen, Springville, and then back to Payson again. Way to go Preston!

Here's Jordan when he was waiting for his Daddy to come in. He's sporting his new BYU hat that Grandma Suzie gave him. Gotta start them on the right path while their young.

Preston so appreciated all the family and friends that came to support him at the finish line of the race. (from left to right) Mom, Bart, Jordan, Preston, Charlie, and Cara. Thanks so much for being there everyone! It meant a lot.

Preston looking tired and sweaty after his race. P.S. Jordan's going for Dad's sweaty helmet in the background! Somebody stop him!

Jordan is such an explorer. Here he is checking out his Daddy's bike. What a cutie.

We are all so proud of you on accomplishing your 100 mile bike race! Did I marry a go getter or what? Preston loves a challenge and seeks them out... up and over a mountain even. Way to go you crazy guy!
