WA Trip (part 1)

Preston, Jordan, and I had a wonderful visit to Washington this past month. Jordan and I stayed with Grandma Suzie for about a month. Preston came out for a week and then had to get back to work. We had such a great time! It was a much needed break from the desert. Thanks Mom for having us for so long. Here is a picture of the beautiful foxglove flowers at home.

We had a lot of fun playing in the yard while being there. Jordan became a quick fan of wheelbarrow rides and going swinging. He even helped his Dad with a project in the garden. What boy doesn't like to use a shovel and dig?

While visiting, we took the opportunity to go to old Poulsbo (a very cute town with Norwegian heritage) and bought some doughnuts from the bakery there. Jordan enjoyed seeing the boats and water, as well as his big cookie he got from the bakery.

Jordan had a blast playing with his buddy David (this is my best friend Kira's oldest son). He fallowed David around and tried doing the same things he did. They loved running around, hiding in corners, and basically getting each other really hipper.

One day Preston, Jordan, and I walked down to the Tracyton boat ramp. On our way we said hi to the horses that were along the way. Jordan loves horses! He had a great time giving them grass to eat and petting them. It was adorable to watch. We also explored the waterfront. Jordan had fun throwing rocks in the water.

This past 4th of July we bought some fireworks we thought Jordan would enjoy... like pops, sparklers, etc. Turns out the pops were scary, the sparklers burned his hand, and everything else was too loud. Ah well, there's always next year.

A family tradition I enjoy is making apple pies. I know how to and even have an apple peeler of my own. But it is so much more fun making apple pies with my mom that I always wait until I can make them with her. What a fun and delicious tradition.

When ever I go home I make sure to visit Illahee State Park. It's a gorgeous park that my family (The Webb's) have spent a lot of time at over the years. Jordan had a blast on the playground. He tried out the teeter totter, swings, and slide... with Mom and Dads help of course. Though I wasn't much help on the swings, I don't have a lot of lap space anymore. Good thing Dad was there help.
