Natalie is 8 months old! We can't believe she's only been a part of our family for that time. It feels like she has always been here with us. This past month Natalie learned how to day "Dada." She knows what it means too! One night while getting her ready for bed Preston was coming in and out a lot getting things; when he had left and I began nursing Natalie she kept rolling over and looking for him. After a few times rolling over and looking for him she said, "Dada." I took her out to find her Dada so he could hear it too. When she saw him she said, "Dada." It totally made his day! What a sweetie.
Sibling time keeps getting better and better. These two love to be around each other. Here are some pictures of one night when neither of these kiddos wanted to go to bed. They were being so sweet to each other that I let them stay up for a little bit longer.
They were holding hands, hugging, and smiling together. It is so sweet to see then interacting and loving each other. If Natalie is crying all Jordan has to do is go up to her with a laugh and a smile and she will brighten right up. That doesn't even always work for Mom and Dad, but Jordan has got the skills.
Natalie has learned to roll from her tummy to her back. Because of this discovery she is finally more patient on her tummy, probably because she knows she can get out of it whenever she wants. She is so proud of herself when she rolls over. Here is picture of a cute Daddy Daughter moment.
Our little girl loves food. Her favorite is big people food. I keep telling her she needs to have teeth to eat what Mommy and Daddy eat, but she doesn't care. She gets jealous whenever we eat something in front of her. She squawks and squeaks in jealousy.
Here favorite big people food (that she can eat without teeth) is crackers. She loves Graham, Ritz, and any kind of cracker she can get. It will be fun to see what other kinds of foods she likes once she gets some chompers. Above is a picture of the messy eater.
I love this face I caught her making. She is starting to show more and more personality/opinions. It is so fun to see her learn and grow daily. I love how Natalie gives big open mouth kisses when I pick her up from a nap, how she sucks her thumb while holding onto her blanket when she's tired, how she bounces like crazy when she's excited, how she gives me a big hug whenever I pick her up, and how she loves and trusts each member of our family with all her heart. She is a bright light in our lives. We love you Little Lady!
